Extremophiles - Leah Shore & Tracy Fanara

*Session 2, Orpheum Theater* Extremophiles is a short but intense portrait film about the pollution in Brooklyn NY and beyond. We chat with the writing and directing team about the film. Extremophiles are organisms that exist when nothing else can survive.
Hop on in as we discuss the inspiration, filming, and science behind such an artistically created film. Leah and Tracy chose to have this piece debut at the Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival and we are honored!

Leah Shore is a Director and Artist living in Brooklyn, NY. She has had her films shown at over 100 film festivals, museums, galleries and shows worldwide. Most recently she was named one of Filmmaker Magazines "25 New Faces in Independent Film 2013". Visit her fun website: Leah Shore

Tracy Fanara, aka Inspector Planet, aka Dr. Tre, is originally from Buffalo, N.Y., and earned a B.S., M.E., and PhD in Environmental Civil Engineering. An engineer, scientist, storm chaser, and TV personality (featured on Science and Discovery Channel television series, Mythbusters: The Search), she embraces opportunities that ask her to step outside of her comfort zone and encourages others to do the same.
